Clive Jefferson our National Elections officer handed over the rains of the very suspenseful Copeland Branch of the British National Party to Malcolm Southward on Tuesday night at a well attended joint meeting of Copeland and Allerdale in their regular venue.

A hard working nationalist Malcolm deserves his promotion to Organiser after helping to establish the Copeland group as a serious force in local politics. He has been Branch secretary since 2009 and is now working tirelessly with the dedicated Copeland activists, canvassing the target wards for the up coming local elections where we are very well placed to make the break through after many years of sustained effort.

Phil Holmes now holds the purse strings as fund holder taking over from the very successful tenure of Kevin Hurst.

"The Copeland team is rock solid and I will be proud to stand as a candidate and help the push for seats with the team this year" Clive told British National Party news. "It is a good move for the group as my time is taken with central party work and the elections department and Malcolm will take the group to the next level"

They had a most interesting take on the standing orders of councillors that say that no member should make statements for the Council without it going through the chair and the council. No problem, that is how it should be. The problem I have with this issue is my letter was clearly a personal one all be it written by a Councillor.

Do you think the content had anything to do with it being singled out for "special treatment"? Decide for your self. In fact I think I should .......write a letter about it.

The Day Democracy Died in Oldham: British National Party's Derek Adams Physically Removed by Police from Hustings.

The British National Party’s candidate in the Oldham East and Saddleworth by-election, Derek Adams, was physically removed from his seat at a public election hustings today by police after Labour Party fascists objected to his presence.

“Mr Adams had booked into the hustings and had tickets for himself and the team,” Clive Jefferson, British National Party national organiser reported.

“Mr Adams and his team went as planned and they were allowed entry without any trouble at all.

“Everything appeared to be going normally and the venue was full with a large media contingent present,” Mr Jefferson said.

As can be seen in the picture alongside, Mr Adams took his seat at the table and several of the other candidates came in and sat down next to him.

“It was then that a Labour Councillor told Mr Adams he could not sit with the other candidates and that he had to leave,” Mr Jefferson continued.

“Mr Adams is not a man to be bullied or ordered about during his election campaign by anyone, and certainly not the Labour Party.

“He quite rightly told the Labour lackey that he was a candidate in the by-election, this was a hustings and he was going nowhere.”

The hustings start was then held up as the Labour councillor called the police who then told Mr Adams that the "event organiser" wanted him to leave.

“Mr Adams very calmly said that he was not prepared to leave just because the Labour Party objected, and said that it was an ‘absolute outrage.’

“The police officer then went outside and came back with six of his colleagues. They surrounded Mr Adams, physically dragged him from his seat and marched him out,” Mr Jefferson said.

Mr Walker then stood up and told the hustings crowd that “democracy is clearly dead in Oldham.

“If they wanted more paedophile gangs of Muslims preying on our children in Oldham all they had to do was keep voting for the likes of those politicians left on the stage,” Mr Walker said, before leading a walkout of the party’s supporters in the crowd.

“The reality is of course that they had just destroyed the democratic right of the elections hustings crowd to hear all the candidates,” Mr Jefferson added.

“Our team of patriots mobilised their tannoys and staged a peaceful but noisy demonstration outside the hustings and had their say despite the worst efforts of the political establishment to silence the British National Party.”

Mr Adams also did a very powerful interview on today's Politics Show which went out live.

“Our man did us proud,” Mr Jefferson said.

“He got over the hard-hitting facts about the grooming of our young white children in Oldham and elsewhere, and that our chairman, Nick Griffin, has been put on trial for trying to bring this issue to the public’s attention in 2005.

“The interview was at that point cut short,” Mr Jefferson said.

“Mr Adams had however made his point. Everyone watching noticed the interview being terminated when it was not to the liking of the BBC.”

“I believe that our message offers hope to the people of Oldham,” Mr Adams said.

“We offer hope to all those who feel that they are neglected and ignored by the corrupt Political Class.

“I am determined that our message will reach them to show that someone cares about their concerns and problems,” Mr Adams said.

“I speak from my heart and I am passionate about this campaign. I want you to feel the same way and help me reach out to our people in Oldham and Saddleworth.”

"Our candidate and our volunteers from all over the country are doing us proud in this election,” he continued.

“But we still have four more days to go and we need to keep the momentum up right through to 10pm on Thursday night.

"So please do not think we have done enough. The hysterical actions today at the hustings show us exactly how scared they are that our message is hitting home.

“The last week is set to be the most important of the full campaign. Join other activists to help Mr Adams secure a strong BNP vote,” Mr Jefferson said.

Our candidate Derek Adams and National Elections Officer Clive Jefferson took to the streets today, with activists from the North West, for a mammoth 6 hour leafleting session.
.
“Spirits were high, as well as getting out thousands of leaflets, Voice of Freedom newspapers and copies of Hope and Glory we had a great reaction from the people of Oldham, which never fails to put a spring in your step.” Derek told BNP News.
.
Mr Adams went on to say “the Liverpool contingent had made CDs for the loud hailers, election sound bites mixed in with our war drums and patriotic music. The overall effect of the mass literature drop and the sound system left no one in any doubt that the British National Party are in this election and fighting hard!”

Clive Jefferson reported increased media interest today with Derek being booked for three radio interviews next week and the Politics Show on the Sunday before poll. The campaign is starting to gain momentum and the interest of the mass media.

Clive said, “The preparations and procedures must be done correctly in every election, Parliamentary elections more so, but we are a grass roots party and are always at our best on the streets, interacting with our fellow countrymen.”

“Throughout the full day, we only encountered two, very deflated and lost looking Conservatives with no other parties or literature anywhere to be seen. UKIP have a lovely office in the centre of the ward, so nice in fact that they never actually leave it and do any real work. They will revert to type, relying on money and the media to fight their election for them.”

Ten candidates will contest the Oldham East and Saddleworth by-election following Thursday's close of nominations.

British National Party leader Nick Griffin was reported as seeking to stand in the campaign but will not do so with Manchester activist Derek Adams selected to fight the seat.
.
The January 13 poll is viewed as the first major test of how the coalition Government of the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats intend to campaign against each other in the country. The contest was triggered by a court decision annulling the general election result from May, when Lib Dem candidate Elwyn Watkins missed out on the seat by just 103 votes.
.
It was declared void by an election court last month which found that victorious Labour candidate Phil Woolas had made false statements about Mr Watkins. Although Mr Watkins is Labour's nearest challenger, the constituency was a three-way marginal in May with Conservative Kashif Ali - who is standing again - less than 2,500 votes behind.
.
Since then, the Lib Dems' fortunes have plummeted in national polls, suggesting any advances made by the Tories in Oldham East and Saddleworth will put paid to Mr Watkins' hopes of winning.
.
David Cameron has raised eyebrows by wishing Mr Watkins well in the January 13 poll, fuelling suspicions that Tories are not planning to mount a serious challenge. However, Mr Cameron stressed this week that he would be visiting the constituency to campaign in person - a rare event for a prime minister.

Deputy Prime Minister and Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg visited the constituency on Wednesday, saying his party was fighting for "every single vote".
.
Labour has selected Debbie Abrahams as its candidate for the by-election. Candidates from a range of smaller parties, including the Green Party, the BNP and the UK Independence Party were also confirmed.

The Flying Brick, otherwise known as Nick Delves, will stand for the Monster Raving Loony Party.

No doubt, like all right-thinking people you were outraged at press pictures of Muslim lunatics burning the Poppy and interrupting the two minute silence to honour our war dead. These people spit on the memory of all those who suffered in wars to maintain our freedom and independence. Those who endured the Blitz, who fought in foreign lands to keep our land safe, the victims of Nazi oppression who we helped to save. To the fanatics this counts for nothing. They are blinded by a hatred of our history and values.

To us the Poppy is a symbol of national unity. When we look at it we remember and take pride in the sacrifice of our forebears, relatives, friends and loved ones who made sacrifices on our behalf. To our soldiers it is a time to remember fallen comrades fondly.

In plain English the Minister is not going to uphold his election pledges as I proved when questioning him, this is the way of politics now, a huge U turn and an utter betrayal of what was promised and it gets a small section in the planning media. We must keep challenging these people when and wherever we can.

Trip to the European Parliament.

A total of 92 Trafalgar Club and British National Party LIFE members have recently returned from a two night trip to Belgium, where they stayed at the picturesque city of Bruges, paid their respects to our war heroes at the Menin Gate at Ypres, and visited the European Parliament in Brussels with our two British National Party MEPs.

The trip began (very) early on Wednesday, with two luxury coaches picking up guests along the way. A special thank you must go to the Scottish contingent who set off at 10pm the night before in order to get to the pick -point for 3am!

On Thursday morning, Armistice Day, the group met under the (wet) shadow of the magnificent Belfry tower in Bruges and held a two minute silence as the bells fell silence in memory of our fallen heroes from wars past and present.

Thursday afternoon was a chance for the delegation to enjoy the sights, tastes and smells of Bruges, and to sample the local beers. This was followed by a formal dinner for the Trafalgar Club and some LIFE members of the Party, and was attended by Mr Griffin and Mr Brons MEPs, who both gave short speeches before the group rejoined the other trip attendees and boarded the coaches to Ypres.

Arriving in Ypres at the Menin Gate; which is the Memorial to the Missing 55,000 British, Dominion and Empire soldiers who were killed in the Ypres Salient of World War I and whose graves are unknown, but who’s names are carved across the gate, on the evening of the 11th November, the delegation attended the moving nightly 8pm playing of the Last Post, a tradition that has carried on almost without interruption since 1928. Following the Last Post, and a special Armistice Day ceremony, three wreaths were laid, one on behalf of the Trafalgar Club, one on behalf of the Party, and a personal one by Nick Griffin MEP.

On return from Ypres, the group was serenaded with a piano performance from one of the younger members on the trip, Matt Tait. Despite claiming to be a little out of practice Matt impressed everyone that was listening, and gave a very special feeling to the end of an emotional and wet day.

It was an early start on Friday in order to get to the European Parliament building in Brussels in good time for the guided tour and introduction to the inner workings of the Parliament, followed by further explanations from our very own two MEPs of their roles within the Parliament. The trip was rounded off by a very enjoyable group lunch in the Parliament canteen before we boarded the two coaches back to the UK.

A collection was held for assistance in filling Christmas Boxes for our troops and raised just over £500. Mr Griffin stated that he would match this figure, ensuring that the British National Party will be able to send more than £1,000 worth of Christmas gifts to our hero troops who are away from their families at this most poignant time of year.

Dear Sir,

On Thursday 11th November, Remembrance Day, I was with a delegation from the North West accompanying our North West MEP Nick Griffin to lay poppy wreaths at the Menin Gate memorial in Ypres, Belgium where we attended the moving nightly 8 pm playing of the Last Post, a tradition that has carried on almost without interruption since 1928.

The Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing is a war memorial dedicated to the commemoration of British and Commonwealth soldiers who were killed in the Ypres Salient of World War 1 and whose graves are unknown The soldiers names and regiments are carved on to every surface of the monument. The memorial is located at the eastern exit of the town and marks the starting point for one of the main roads out of the town that led Allied soldiers to the front line. It was a deeply moving experience and reading the tens of thousands of names on the walls it puts into prospective the huge sacrifices this country has made to preserve our freedoms and protect our people.

Sacrifices that continue to this day as our best and bravest still fight overseas for Queen and country.

On returning home I am shocked and saddened at learning of the terrible event in Kensington, West London this week. I am utterly dismayed and disgusted that the group "Muslims against Crusades" burnt poppies in the street as a protest against the British tradition of remembrance day.

Each poppy is worn to represent the memory of a fallen soldier. It is utterly disgusting that these people have the audacity to disrupt such a sacred ceremony yet demand that we understand and accept their culture.

I also request that you take this moment to reflect upon the fact that we are still sending brave men and women into harms way.
Those brave men and women on the front line will be deeply saddened to learn that back home people are being allowed to oppose and insult the memory of their fallen comrades and others before them in this way and they will ask quite rightly what is being done about this outrage?

We are forced to see such thing pass and the politicians of this country do little or nothing to stop the mounting outrages against our troops by an ever increasing militant and openly aggressive element of those who are followers of Islam.

It is past time for the authorities to stop these mounting outrages and arrest, jail or deport these criminals for defiling the nation and the people that have welcomed them and given them safe haven.

The Politicians in Planning Network (known as PIPA) aims to influence planning policies and to press decision-makers to address current planning-related issues effectively. Members of PIPA play an important part in developing policy, knowledge and good practice.

The PIPA Conference 2010 held in Sheffield on Saturday 6 November was a great success with both Minister Bob Neill (pictured above) and British National Party Councillor Clive Jefferson (Pictured top of article) debating the contents of the Decentralisation & Localism Bill about to be published. The theme for the 2010 Conference was Planning & Localism: Delivering Community Aspirations.

Cllr Jefferson challenged the Minister in the questions and answer session asking the Minister for clarification on several of the most controversial aspects of the bill which the Minister didn't mention in his briefing.

Cllr Jefferson asked; “Will you be fulfilling your election promise and introducing the rights of appeal for third parties, individual citizens as appose the current system which costs on average £750,000 for a judicial review to challenge a planning application?”

“Will you be enforcing the absolute requirement for planning consent to be the first action taken and achieved before any development takes place, stopping the disgraceful practice of councils giving certain groups in our community “retrospective planning permission”
.

And finally Cllr Jefferson asked if the Minister was going to help all the planning graduates get places in local government as currently thousands of planning graduates are faced with having to pay back up to £50,000 in tuition fees if they do not work for a local authority for two years within five years of graduating. Several graduates have contacted me and asked me to highlight the fact that graduates are unable to even get voluntary places in local government and are now facing bankruptcy before their careers even begin!”

The Minister had no answers to any of the above.
.

Cllr Jefferson told BNP news “Minister Bob Neill, having his hands on the levers of power now, attaining ministerial rank on promises to deal with these vital issues has totally failed his electorate and will not be allowing third party appeals, will not stop retrospective planning being granted and will do absolutely nothing to help the planning graduates. This is just typical of the current coalition government, refusing one election pledge after another and people are suffering because of it. It was a long drive to Sheffield and back from Cumbria but it was worth it to expose this man and to challenge him on the real issues in planning not the tame staged questions he was enjoying before I was given the floor.”

Clive then had lunch with the minister and had a lively debate about equality and treating everyone with fairness and tolerance.

“I confess that I took some pleasure in guiding the conversation down this route for 30 minutes before telling the minister that I was in fact the National Organiser of the British National Party!”

.
An amused Mr Jefferson told BNP News that the information didn't sit well with the minister who made a derogatory comment about the party and left the table and the university. What a shame Minister Neill could not show tolerance and equality to a rival political party, some would call that hypocrisy, Mr Jefferson concluded.

Party Chairman Makes Urgent Appeal for “Last Push” Legal Fund

British National Party chairman Nick Griffin MEP has appealed to supporters to help raise £1,500 legal fees by Monday for what may well be the finale to the Race Gestapo Equalities Commission’s persecution of the party.

Writing from his hospital bed, where he is currently undergoing treatment for kidney stones, Mr Griffin revealed that a “heavyweight” legal team had been brought in to “grind the taxpayer-funded Equalities Commission” assault on the BNP “into the dust.”

The appeal letter reads in full as follows:

“Monday morning will see me, Simon Darby and Tanya Lumbyback in the High Court. Once again we will be representing every member of the BNP, and fighting for the dearly-bought rights and freedoms of every member of our island race. Our enemy — the Equalities Commission, with their 70-strong tax-gobbling legal team.

This is the quango that refused even to recognise the existence of British and English people — until, thanks to all the donors who helped fund our fight back, we forced them to in this case. This is the quango that claims to stand for human rights and equality,and yet employs Simon Woolley, leader of Operation Black Vote. Woolley openly boasted that the aim of this anti-democratic attack on our party and our one million voters is to “close them down.”

On Monday, we stand a real chance of stopping these anti-British bigots dead in their tracks. Our legal team are buoyant, confident and well-prepared. Legal rules mean I can't give you advanced sight of their arguments and assessment of our chances, but I can tell you that they're going to be out to take Commission scalps! We are fighting to win.

So it's all to play for and we are nearly there. I say “nearly” because we just paid £8,500 to our legal team but have to top that to £10,000 on Monday morning. If we do, then the legal bully boys employed by Phillips and Woolley will face a top level team of legal professionals, working for us and for freedom. If we don’t I‘ll still fight on and once again represent myself.

I don’t mind doing it in principle - I did it at the last hearing to conserve Party funds - but I am no legal expert. I want to level the playing field and have the best team possible. I want to see the tables turned on Phillips and Woolley. They deserve to be hammered. This is our chance, not just to beat them, but to grind them and their petty tyranny into the dust of history.

Are we going to let them get away with it or are we going to fight? Simon, Tanya and I will be there in the Royal Courts of Justice fighting on Monday and Tuesday. I need to be able to tell Tanya and Simon that we are not alone. I need to walk into that court on your behalf at the head of a full, and fully paid for, legal team.

If I do, we can win. If I don’t, Simon Woolley may get his way. So, for what should be the final time in this case, I need your help. We urgently need that last £1,500. Not next Wednesday, not next Tuesday, not even on Monday — we need it right now!

The continuing saga that is the financial and political upheaval of the Parish Council, of which I am a Councillor, continued this week when we published the report of the external auditor we called in to investigate the goings on of the previous council.

The report is absolutely scathing of the previous council chairman and many others.
.
The situation came to a head at the start of the year when 10 councillors walked out triggering the election in which I took my seat on the council.
.
The auditors report is not the final piece of the puzzle as the previous clerk is now suing us (The Broughton Council) for "constructive dismissal. Which is an absolute outrage if you knew the facts as I do.
.
What was also outrageous was the legal advise which was that if we fought it and won it would cost us more money than settling now!!!!
.
Such is the state of the legal system in our country and I proposed that we fight the claim on the grounds of what is right not what might be cheapest, and after some debate enough of my fellow councillors voted with me to insist on challenging the claim rather than paying of the clerk.
.
There will be more twists in the tale of this little Parish Council before this episode is finished and with the upcoming huge development of the ex military base at Broughton our little council is a very high profile council all of a sudden, with media attending the meetings and standing room only in the public area.
.
I advise all British National Party members and especially the officials to attend and gain seats on all the town and parish councils possible, they are not paid positions - genuine public servants - but we must occupy the lower tiers of Government, as well as learning our trade we are very much needed in these councils, as with Westminster and all the District and County councils, our parish and town councils have also been infested by the lazy, the corrupt and the people who are only interested in furthering their own personal agendas.

Unapproved spending confirmed at Broughton Community Council
.
BROUGHTON Community Council made £6,064 of unauthorised payments in the last financial year, an external audit has shown.
.
The audit, which backs up a report from an internal auditor, showed that £3,661 of that received retrospective approval from the council, despite its clerk not having authority to make payments without prior approval. Another £2,403 was not approved by the council.
.
The external auditor’s report, received at a meeting of Broughton Parish Council on Monday, highlighted problems faced by the previous council, including financial regulations being breached and budgets not being monitored.
.
It echoed the findings of internal auditor Michael Johnson, whose report said most of the former council and the clerk had ignored legal processes and that the council had suffered a complete breakdown in governance.
.
The council ceased to exist in February when 10 members resigned.
.
The internal audit found it was not properly constituted following the resignation of chairman Keith Sproat in December, as a new chairman was not elected.
.
Clerk Jill Hunter had also resigned in December but councillors refused to accept her resignation.
The council was re-formed in May by remaining councillors Brian Beck and Brian Lancaster, existing councillor-elect Vera Sherwood and 10 other new councillors.
.
The external auditor recommended that the new council ensures all expenditure is given prior approval to avoid breaching financial regulations.
.
The report added: “Payments made without authorisation of the council could result in the councillors and/or clerk being subject to investigation and possibly legal proceedings.”
.
It urged the council to review the effectiveness of its internal audit process and monitor its budgets throughout the year.
.
Chairman John Wilson said: “I’m glad that it’s now over because there can be no arguments at all with the Government report so all this business of casting aspersions around is finished.”
.
Coun Brian Beck, who is still being investigated by local government watchdog Standards for England following a complaint by Mrs Hunter, said he was relieved to have been exonerated by the auditors’ reports.
.
Coun Beck, who was praised by the internal auditor, along with Coun Lancaster and Coun Sherwood, for freezing the council’s bank accounts following the resignations in February, said: “I have been castigated, vilified, I have been called a liar, and been told I’m trying to get access or control of bank accounts by the last clerk.”
.
Coun Clive Jefferson asked what action would be taken against those involved in the disgraceful actions of the previous council, adding that it could affect public opinion if nothing was seen to be done.
.
But Coun Wilson said that was outside the council’s jurisdiction.
.
He added: “Our primary task is to work for the good of this village for the future.”

The dedicated activists of Cumbrias West coast were out again on Saturday with the Copeland team leading the way with over 1,000 names and addresses on the "Bring our Boys Home" petition.

The Copeland British National Party team have really taken to this form of high visibility town centre campaigning and we intend to carry on with the information stall every Saturday.

We were always well received in Whitehaven but this recent campaign has caught the public imagination and has established us as the party that campaigns on issues the others will not go near. We now have many regular supporters coming over bringing their friends and family to sign and enquiring how many have signed so far.

As each day of campaigning ends we have a debrief to see what we have learned and how we can improve our performance, Phil has introduced a flag pole flying the union flag and Clive Jefferson, the National Elections officer and Copeland Organiser has started noting down declared voters and asking the people who stay to chat if they have or would consider voting for the British National Party.

Elections are all about data and we are finding so many different ways now to identify our supporters and as we are recording all the important information every day brings us closer to changing our many second place showings in Copeland to winning seats.

Again Copeland British National Party took to the streets for the second Saturday in a row.

The response was tremendous, in two Saturday sessions the team gathered 580 names, addresses, contact details and signatures for the on going "Bring our Boys Home" campaign.

Due to last weeks response from the people of Whitehaven we purchased another table and had 5 clip boards with petitions on them on the go and still people had to queue up to sign them. This campaign is being supported so much by nearly every single person we encounter it shows the deep feeling running through the British people about this prolonged and senseless war.

We now intend to add Thursdays in the town centre and also next week we are starting to go door to door with the petition in all our target wards for next years elections.

I urge every Group and Branch to take up this campaign, it is the most worthy of campaigns and the perfect way to get new activists interacting positively with the public.

We have turned out every Saturday morning giving out Voice of Freedom papers and the ‘England is for Life’ leaflets every since the World Cup and we are now working hard on the new campaign to ‘Bring Our Boys Home’.

Our town centre stall has become a regular feature to shoppers with lots of the public greeting us like old friends; some come to us in order to make small donations to our fighting fund.

Saturday was a very good day for the Copeland Group of the British National Party when we launched our petition campaign to "Support our troops, bring them home".

The team set up our stall in the town centre and had tremendous support from the people of Whitehaven with over three hundred people signing the petition, they also left their names and addresses and we intend to write to everyone keeping them up to date with this and other campaigns.

It is worth reminding the people of the North West that their MEP, Nick Griffin used his first speech in the European Parliament to highlight the illegal war in Afghanistan and Nick Griffin is spearheading this current campaign and will be personally delivering the massed petitions to Number 10 Downing Street later in the year.

The very active Copeland group will be continuing this high visability campaign in the town centres and also intend to go door to door with the petitions in our target wards.

On Saturday Cumbria BNP sent two car loads of activists over the A66 to assist our college Adam Walker in the by-election he is currently fighting in Spennymoor.

The NE and Cumbria have always supported each other and it is great for moral to travel and assist other groups, not to mention the boost a local team gets when activists come from afar to help out..On Saturday we managed to hand deliver 4200 personally addressed mail merge letters to the electors of the ward, an incredible days work with our activists knocking on each door and handing the voters a personal message from the British National Party candidate. A technique that is very effective and gets first timers into knocking on doors without the pressure of having to "canvass" the elector. Once our activists realise there really is no problem with door knocking they usually quickly develop into effective canvassers.

Clive Jefferson, National Election officer praised the team effort which included the literature being printed in Nuneaton, prepared (put into envelopes in Cumbria, a three day job) and delivered by a team of activists from all over the North of England.

Tradition who will keep it alive? We will of course. The Green Man made an appearance.

One of the most interesting things I was involved in last weekend was showing the children how to light fires without modern means.

Could you light a fire if you needed to, if your very life depended on it? I think you would be hard pressed. I also spent long afternoons fishing, very successfully and we had kayak lessons for the youngsters and a competition with clay shooting for the older folk. A full roast pig was devoured and much singing and merriment enjoyed.

On the Sunday there will be an adults sports day and a regional tug-of-war competition. The event will end with a keynote speech from myself.

On both days there will be a chance for socialising, informal discussion and various other fun activities.

Please note this is not a conventional Red, White and Blue event. There will not be regional stands or intensive political events, and the emphasis will be on families.

This event provides a fantastic site and the opportunity for people who wish to cherish our culture and who want to develop ways in which to celebrate it involving the next generation.

I haven't posted for some time on my blog, I really must get used to posting from my phone or lap top but there never seems time.

Last Tuesday I set of to Leeds and met Martin and we went to pick up the Chairman Nick Griffin for a series of meetings in first the Eastern region.

We then went into London and I got my first look inside the GLA and we had a discussion with Chris Roberts about the on going issues with Richard Barnbrook.

We then had meetings with several London officials culminating in a Regional Council meeting where the Chairman appointed a new set of sub regional organisers who are very keen to show that there is much more to London than the the East of the capital where nearly all the previous BNP activity has been focused. We then went on to a packed and intense members meeting which was made more interesting by the appearance of Mr Butler and a group of his dissidents that we did not allow into the meeting. It all worked out very well and a lot of people were brought back into the fold after recent problems in the area.

Then it was straight to Summer School to do six back to back two hour lectures over the two days concentrating on the new election system we have developed and are testing now with live electoral data. Very exciting and everyone attending is now up to speed with where we a going electorally.

Paul Stafford did an excellent class on our recently finalised postal vote strategy and Alwyn Deacon did a course on running an Election day operation.

Summer School was great and I got home on Sunday nigh, late on, after a seriously intense six days of non stop political activity.

The above write up of our local parish council meeting makes no mention of the larger meeting before it where the huge issue of the Broughton arms dump was discussed. Very controversial open cast coal mining plans have been put forward as the favoured buyer and developer of this huge piece of pristine prime land by the river Derwent, a site bigger than the whole of Cockermouth!

I intend to be part of our councils panel that will be looking into this project and all the options.
.
I spent all day Saturday and Sunday at the party's Advisory Council where we dealt with a series of serious issues and work is being done now to address some serious short falls in our structure.

The Muslim chairman of David Cameron’s Conservative Party, Sayeeda Warsi, has backed the wearing of the burka, a move which is perfectly in line with that party’s apparent desire to see Britain Islamified.

Ms Warsi, who was appointed as a “baroness” by David Cameron so that she can also sit in the cabinet without having to fight an election, claimed that wearing a burka does not prevent Muslim women “engaging in everyday life” in Britain.

The comments came just prior to a new Daily Mail investigation into Islamic paedophile gangs in Britain in which it is claimed that police and victims are often too scared to pursue the perpetrators for fear of being called “racist.”

The Daily Mail investigation echoes many of the points raised by the BNP, in particular the aspects relating to the refusal by authorities to investigate the matter for fear of offending Muslims. According to the report, the Muslim gangs specialised in luring “naive local girls” into underage sex rings. The men target white girls and ply them with alcohol, cigarettes and drugs.
The girls are usually at first raped violently, and then threatened with extreme violence should they report the matter. “They threatened to firebomb my home with my parents inside if I told anyone what they’d done, shoot me with a pistol, rape my mother and kill my older brother if I told anyone,” one of the victims said in the report.

“Most of the men running the sex slave gangs in the north of England are Asians of Pakistani origin. But very few of the authorities will admit this,” the victim said. The refusal to address the root cause is “political correctness and a fear of being branded racist,” the report continues.
One mother from Yorkshire, whose 13-year-old girl was lured into sex slavery, told the Daily Mail reporter that “Almost every man found guilty of grooming under-age girls in this part of Britain is Asian, and everyone knows that.

“I think the police are over cautious about this issue because they fear being branded racist. That is wrong. These are criminals that should be treated as criminals whatever their race.” The report concludes by saying that “Scotland Yard estimates that 5,000 British-born children are today under the control of sex-slave gangs across the UK.”

This is the shocking face of modern Britain, where native British people are treated like second-class citizens. Only the British National Party is standing up for the victims of racist grooming.

I found an old photo today, an interesting image. My time in Thailand, training and fighting with the professionals. Muay thai is a serious sport and brutally hard, quite a challenge at the time and as with any discipline requiring commitment, stamina and I loved it.

So here we are now and the fighting we are involved in is far more brutal than any of the full contact bouts I have had. Today in the political arena it is not a simple thing to identify the enemy. It is more a game of chess than a straight fight and we must weigh every move and the repercussions of each move, working out the possible outcomes and having the confidence and courage to act.

Tonight the regular meeting of the Copeland and Allerdale groups of the British National Party welcomed another four new members to the party, all four joining up on the night.

"This is part of our local recruitment drive" Paul Stafford, Cumbrian Organiser, told BNP News. "It is surprising just how many long time supporters, who never miss a meeting, haven't actually joined up yet and where better to sign them up but at a meeting, amongst friends."
.
Copeland and Allerdale have a healthy rivalry on the football and rugby pitches and now in the membership competition with Allerdale just pulling away, with a late second half double sign up, just when we thought it was going to close, all even in total, with one each on the night.
.
Some people might think this time, after the General Election, was a quiet time for politics, it has surprised us all to realise that in Cumbria we are now at an all time record in paid up members and we have only just started our proactive recruitment drive this week.
.
Tonight was another first for us with candidates already choosing ward's for next year's local elections and canvass sheets are being printed this week for those candidates to start their campaign. With our strongest wards already intensively canvassed it is literally a case of just filling in the gaps on the sheets and keeping in contact with our identified supporters.

West Cumbria has a rock solid membership/ activist base and some of the most promising electoral potential for us in the region and in a time when some people are more concerned with internal politics, it is just fantastic when you open the meeting up to any questions and your activists say "Yes we have a serious complaint to make..................... we need more VoFs and some new leaflets to put out!"

BNP leader Nick Griffin has set up a base in Burnley.

The highly-controversial politician officially opened his "Euro office" on Saturday in Yorke Street where he will spend time in his role as a Member of the European Parliament for the North-West. Mr Griffin believes Burnley holds a "special place" in the party's history and it is thought he will hold surgeries at the address in the coming months.

Burnley MP Gordon Birtwistle said democracy meant Mr Griffin was entitled to set up stall in the town. "The office has been there for a number of years and it has done nothing in the past. I would suggest it won't be doing much in future either.

"Nick Griffin is one of our MEPs and a pretty insignificant one at the moment as he doesn't seem to be doing a lot. However, if he wants to come and sort the problems any Burnley people are having with the European Parliament then so be it. I hope he does hold surgeries there and helps deliver what the people of Burnley want," he said.

"The office is important as it will bring local people closer to their MEP," said Mr Griffin, who was dramatically refused entry to the Queen's Garden Party at Buckingham Palace yesterday where Mayor of Burnley Coun. Tony Lambert and his wife, Brenda, were guests. "Burnley has a special place in the history of the British National Party as it was here we made our political breakthrough when winning three seats on Burnley Council in 2002.

"Mr Griffin was elected to Brussels last year even though the BNP polled fewer votes in the region than it had in 2004 – winning a seat through the system of proportional representation used in the European elections. He promised then he would be opening an office in Burnley in the near future.

The BNP has used an office within the Yorke Street building since 2002 but recently moved to two new offices within the same complex.

Leader of the Burnley BNP party Coun. Sharon Wilkinson said: "When Nick first got elected as MEP he said he was going to set up an office in Burnley and he's kept his word. It will be funded with Nick's European funding. We will be getting some of the Euro staff here as well which means we will be able to help more local people with their problems."

The LibDem MP is nothing but predictable with his comments, I intend to make an appointment with him when next I am in the Burnley office and have a chat with him about the issues he thinks important for the people of Burnley. That would be very interesting I think.

The paper points out that our vote dropped in 2009 from 2004 levels, they fail to mention that every ones vote dropped in that election as in 2004 an all postal ballot pushed up the turn out. So the relevance of that comment is also most interesting.

But the main thing, a front page article will inform the people of the town that they now have a office, close by where they can have access to their MEP. I look forward to working down there.

The politically motivated refusal to allow British National Party leader Nick Griffin MEP to attend a tea party at Buckingham Palace is an attack on democracy, the media, freedom of speech and one million British patriots.

This was the reaction of Mr Griffin to the news that officials had informed him at the last minute that he was being barred from the party for allegedly making “political capital” out of the visit by granting media interviews.

“The reason is invented nonsense,” Mr Griffin said. “Nowhere in the book of rules given to all attendees does it say anything about not giving media interviews and of course countless people have done precisely that in the past.

“This decision is an attack on the media and their right to report on important events of the day.
.

“It is an attack on the right of every person in Britain to get the news of current events reported by the media, and it is an attack on the one million plus patriots who voted for the BNP,” Mr Griffin said.

“The move has obviously been made under pressure from the ConDem regime who are desperate for any reason to bar the BNP,” Mr Griffin said.

The BNP leader dismissed as nonsense the claim that he had tried to make political capital out of the invitation.

“The media would of course be interested in an invitation to a BNP MEP to attend a party at Buckingham Palace.

“To use that natural media interest as an excuse to withdraw the invitation is a disgusting disregard for democracy in Britain,” he said.

“The ruling elite must realise that blatant attempts at gagging the BNP always backfires and we will emerge from these situations and their double standards stronger than ever,” Mr Griffin said.

British National Party (BNP) leader Nick Griffin is expected to attend a Buckingham Palace garden party later.

Nick intends to take three members of his family to the event in his capacity as an MEP for the North West.
.
Last year Mr Griffin withdrew from attending a similar event out of fear of embarrassing the Queen, due to the media frenzy surrounding him attending as a guest of someone. This year it is very different and Mr Griffin goes to take up the invitation, sent to him in recognition of his political rank as a duly elected member of the European Parliament. This is no media stunt, and Nick has been proved right to decline last years invite and to enter this year, through the front door as the saying goes.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman confirmed that as an MEP Mr Griffin was eligible to nominate himself to attend a garden party, as part of the allocation of tickets to the European Parliament.

(In 2009 Mr Griffin was invited to attend a Buckingham Palace garden party by his BNP colleague Richard Barnbrook who, as a London Assembly member, was nominated for two tickets by the Greater London Authority (GLA).)

Nick Griffin MEP, visited the Cumbrland Show on Saturday, held this year on Carlisle race course, with his wife Jackie, Clive Jefferson, North West Regional Organiser and Paul Stafford, Cumbrian Organiser, and family.

It was a low key unannounced visit as Nick likes to just blend into these events and enjoy them but we did not get away without people coming up and asking for their photos with the MEP. Also we received an email from the event organisers thanking the MEP for attending and asking what he thought of the event.

Four candidates have declared their intention to stand for the position of leader of the British National Party this year, including the current leader Nick Griffin MEP.

The three other challengers are, in alphabetic name order, Derek Adams, Richard Barnbrook AM and Eddy Butler.

In terms of the BNP’s constitution, all candidates have been asked to provide a 150-word manifesto for publication on the main BNP website.
.

If any other candidates come forward between now and the close of nominations on 10 August, their names will be added to this list in alphabetic order once again.

Saturday was an important day for the North West Region as Nick Griffin MEP, Opened the first of the smaller Euro Satellite Offices in his huge constituency. The Second North West Euro office is in Burnley right next to the town hall and is complemented with having the first North West BNP office and printing facility, next door to the Euro Office.

This is the first of the long awaited regional printing operations giving access to all North West groups to quality printing facilities.

Mr Griffin is also expanding his European operation to give his constituents more access to him.

Officials from all over the North West were invited to the opening and Chris Vance, newly appointed Burnley Organiser, and family made everyone welcome in a local supporters pub where we all enjoyed a meal and a relaxing get together.

The North West organisation is right on target with our expansion plans, putting everything in place for next years elections while promoting the work of our MEP.

Nick Griffin was among guests who turned up at St James’s Church, Orrell, last Sunday morning for new Mayor Coun Mike Winstanley’s traditional civic service.

The British National Party has been routinely lambasted by politicians of varying hues in the Wigan council chamber to the point of passing motions condemning its electoral campaigns and successes.

But invitations were sent out from the town hall to all North West MPs and MEPs – and Mr Griffin numbers among the latter since the last Euro elections.
.
The authority would not be drawn today as to whether his inclusion was deliberate or an oversight.
.
But pressure group Wigan Against Racism today said the BNP boss should have been snubbed – and in not doing so, the local authority was helping to “normalise” his politics.
.

Wigan council said:

“We can confirm that our invitation list for the mayor’s Civic Sunday includes local constituency MPs and all North West MEPs.

“It was on this basis alone that Mr Griffin received an invitation.”

Charles Mather, Wigan and Leigh BNP group organiser, said: “I am not surprised Mr Griffin accepted the invitation as he is a hands-on MEP and takes his duties to his constituency seriously and would always endeavour to attend constituency functions if possible in spite of his busy schedule.
.
“I compliment Wigan Metro on this sudden concern for the democratic process in contrast to their previous use of council premises to attack our progress.
.
“Mr Griffin – as an elected MEP with over 7,000 votes in our area – has every right to receive and accept invitations to events such as this.
.
“We have a right to have our views represented and for our MEP to be invited to functions in our area.
.
“I take issue with the unelected Wigan Against Racism group’s definition of us as racist when our only aim is to protect and preserve the community and culture our forefathers worked and died to bequeath us.”

Mr Griffin also received support from a member of the St James’s congregation.

Local man Shaun Campbell was there with his young family when he saw Mr Griffin sitting near the front.

He said: “At first I thought it was someone who looked like him, but after mass we saw Mr Griffin’s bodyguards standing at the gates with the road blocked off by the police.
.
“Then I knew it had to be him so I waited for him to leave. Being a member of the BNP, I was chuffed to see him here in our village. He’s the last person I would have expected to see here.
.
“I had a little chat with him and he is a really nice bloke, had plenty of time to speak to us and even stopped for a picture. He and his bodyguards even took an interest in my baby son.”
.
Conservative Coun Winstanley, who did not draw up the guest list and who says he is trying to remain politically neutral during his year in office, declined to comment.

Peter Tierney was at court on Monday to be sentenced for the miscarriage of justice which was his conviction. He was convicted of ABH on a leftist low life who was charging to attack a group of BNP members, numbering several ladies and pensioners who were all at court on Monday to support Peter.

I went down and members from groups all over the North West also turned out in support of our friend and colleague. Conspicuous by their absence, the ex Liverpool officials who are showing their true colours by not supporting one of our own unjustly sentenced. A poor show by said people. Still a tremendous turn out on a Monday morning and this is what we do best, come together to support our people.

Peter was given 100 hours community service, a sentence he will carry out even though there is no justice in this case.

Incredible when you see just how many Africans have been moved into the ward.

Everyone who went down to help out (and the North West, as usual, responded to the call for assistance and turned out in numbers right through the campaign) worked hard and I would like to thank you all for your dedication.
.
I was not involved in the first half of the campaign so when we did go down to assist we had inherited the old flawed canvass sheets so the data was not as accurate as we needed it to be but the good news is that with only minor and obvious improvements the canvass returns can be made 50% more accurate.
.
Labour had not been visible on the streets again and to our knowledge didn't even put a leaflet out, as incredible as that may seem. They relied almost totally on phone canvassing and although nothing beats personal contact the introduction of serious methodical phone canvassing is a priority.
.
This was going to be trialed in the short period of the campaign I was involved in but I was delayed in the acquisition of the numbers by a data company that agreed to sell us the phone numbers and delayed the proses before pulling out and refusing to complete the deal - as we were the BNP! We have since worked out how to proceed with this part of our future plans so all in all the result was encouraging and well worth the effort put into the election.

No more brother wars, please
I didn’t really want to be drawn into the leadership question, however, it seems the inevitable has happened, with adversaries of Nick Griffin raising the issue of the position of Deputy Leader in general, and referring to me in particular. As you know, the position carries absolutely no constitutional weight, and I feel it totally unfair and underhand, in a potential contest that involves solely the Leader of the Party, that some are seeking to confuse matters by bringing up the position of Deputy.
.
As many of you will know, the position of Deputy Leader of the British National Party was created as an ad hoc, purely practical operational measure by Nick Griffin in the middle of 2005. Nick was facing the prospect of being incarcerated for up to seven years, courtesy of a BBC/Searchlight plot, simply for telling the truth about Islam. The outcome of course, is history, but at the time the prospect of Nick being able to run the Party from HM Prison Armley seemed a little optimistic!
.
He therefore asked me to accept the position of Deputy Leader, a post created and always intended as a practical insurance against a State-sanctioned decapitation of our Party. I remember the following year, when Nick was retried when the authorities failed to get the ‘correct’ decision, that he handed me a note containing instructions while the jury was out. I never read all of it, but I can tell you that the first paragraphs contained instructions on how I was to handle his decision – if jailed - to go on hunger strike in order to try to force the Home Office and West Yorkshire Police to address the scandal of sexual predation of young English girls by Muslim men.
.
I think it was only as I grasped the full implications of those first paragraphs, that I really understood the magnitude of responsibility and commitment required by a genuine leader for the British National Party. I trust that my overjoyed response to Nick’s subsequent acquittal needed no explanation in such circumstances.
.
In 2009, I remember being on the stage at the Birmingham Indoor Arena as it was announced that a UKIP surge had cost me my position as a BNP MEP. To my right there was a television screen, which just as I was making my own speech informed everyone in the building that Nick had made the journey from potential Political Prisoner to become a BNP Member of the European Parliament.
.
Despite my personal disappointment in my own region, the victories for Nick Griffin and Andrew Brons marked an extraordinary Odyssey, against all the odds and a brutally hostile media and Establishment. Nick’s consequent appearance on Question Time further cemented his position of real political and personal recognition, and our party’s status as a beacon of hope to millions of ordinary Brits, and indeed people like us all over the world.
.
For all the constitutional irrelevance of the position of Deputy Leader, I like to think that my work in that post has contributed significantly towards the Party’s stability and advances on so many fronts. In dealing with the constant media and Establishment hostility, together with a succession of malicious legal attacks, over the last five years, I have not done a bad job. Further to this, in so doing, I hope and believe that I have won and retained the respect of the broad spectrum of the Party’s membership.
.
Having said that, and referring to the question at hand – namely the possibility of a leadership election – I firmly believe that the members must not be distracted by a sideshow. There is one issue, and one issue alone. That being who is suitable, and indeed capable, of leading and running the now most successful and powerful (why do you think the ConDem Coalition has just announced a cap on immigration?) nationalist movement this country has ever known.
.
You see, there is a danger here. This possibility for a legitimate contest is being exploited and abused to damage our beloved Movement as a whole. Whether it’s naivety, self-interest or something even worse, there is a real risk here of a dangerous escalation in what should only be a contest to choose the best man (or woman) for the job.
.
For that reason, I am going to put aside my own self-interest and status, with a view to helping to keep our Party unified. I will not allow myself, or the position in which I have served for five sometimes very trying years, to be exploited, abused or used to distract our people from the crucial choice that may have to be made.
.
Quite simply, the post of Deputy Leader has absolutely no constitutional standing, with it being a discretionary appointment being made or not by the duly elected Leader. For anyone to seek to make it an issue in a BNP Leadership election is therefore misguided at best, or insincere at worst.
.
As a result, and wishing to avoid a descent into personality-orientated factionalism, I am going to set an example. I have therefore decided to resign as Deputy Leader of this Party with immediate effect. My purpose in this decision is not only to take this distraction out of the election. Also, if I can endure self-imposed demotion for the greater good of this Party, then I have the moral right to ask that others at least exercise responsibility and restraint.
.
In particular, that means running a contest that sticks to the real issues, avoids red-herrings such as constitutionally irrelevant positions, and promotes would-be candidates on their own merits rather than setting nationalist brothers and sisters against each other by repeating enemy lies and black propaganda about the current leader and his team.
.
I know this is an unusual move, but I have not sacrificed twenty years of my life to see the opportunity and the Movement, that we have created together, thrown away by ill-discipline, reckless ambition and self-importance. It’s not about me. It never has been. It is, always has been, and always will be, about the future of our Nation and our People.
.
That in turn means that it’s all about the future of the only political machine with the public recognition, organisational sophistication, clout and experience to do the job. There is no time to deviate, no time to start afresh. It’s the British National Party and its victory, or national extermination and the eventual extinction of our kind.
.
You’ve taken the time to read this far - negotiating the few paragraphs that have seen me transformed from a high-profile player to ‘ordinary’ grass-roots nationalist - so I ask you for a few more moments of your time.
.
This Party would be nothing if it wasn’t for Nick Griffin’s total and unreserved commitment to the nationalist cause. It would be a sad, contained creature for contempt and ridicule, rather than the snarling, fighting, in-their-face beast that it is today – a constant rebuke and reminder to the Establishment of their treason, betrayal of our people, and the price they will one day have to pay for their crimes.
.
That is why they are trying so hard to destroy the British National Party – and the man who, more than any other, has made it what it is, and who remains, in my now humble but still extremely well informed opinion, the only man who can take us forward on the next stage of our epic, just and historic journey.
.
There is an old saying, “you never know what you’ve lost until it’s gone.” Don’t wake up one morning later this year to find that we’ve lost Nick Griffin and his team, and replaced them with a jostling, squabbling, unstable, untested and indecisive coalition. We elect a Leader to lead, that’s Nick’s job, and he’s the best man to do it.

THE British National party leader, Nick Griffin, will attend a Buckingham Palace garden party next month after he was invited in his capacity as an MEP.

The far-right politician, a representative for the north-west of England in the European parliament, intends to take three members of his family to the event on July 22.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "He was eligible to nominate himself as a guest as an elected member of the European parliament. Buckingham Palace would not discriminate against elected representatives of the European parliament."

Noor Ramjanally falsely claimed he was kidnapped by members of the British National Party, the court heard.
.
The 36 year-old falsely claimed he was abducted at knife point by racist thugs from the far-right wing political party after being subjected to hate mail and an arson attack, Chelmsford Crown Court was told.
.
He had told police he had feared for his life when he was kidnapped in broad daylight from his home in Loughton, Essex on August 24 last year and bundled into a car, it was claimed.
.
Ramjanally then claimed he was driven to nearby Epping Forest where he was threatened and warned to stop holding prayer sessions he had organised.
.
But he was caught out lying after detectives viewed CTTV footage from secret cameras installed to protect him after his previous claims that he was being targeted by racist opponents, prosecutors said.
.
The court heard that at the time of his alleged abduction he was actually “wandering around Homebase".
.
Ramjanally, a married father of one, stood trial in his absence on Tuesday charged with one count of perverting the course of justice.
.
The jury were not told why he did not attend court and were warned by Judge Karen Walden-Smith not to carry out independent research.
.
Matthew Gowan, prosecuting, told the court that Ramjanally’s story about the alleged kidnapping was “complete bunkum".
.
He said that Ramjanally had made up his claims in a call to police that he had been taken by force and later threatened to stop holding Muslim prayer groups.
.
The court was told that he was one of a group of people who had formed the Islamic community groups, which had allegedly created a "background of tension" that he blamed the BNP for whipping up.
.
After he had founded the groups several months earlier, he reported a number of incidents to police including a "malicious letter, abuse in the street and a firebomb attack on the front door of his flat.
.
Mr Gowan said after being released without harm Ramjanally told the media that he believed the far right British National party were responsible for his kidnap.
.
"It was complete bunkum. He didn't know one crucial piece of information, a vital piece of the jigsaw puzzle,” Mr Gowan told the court.
.
“Because of the tensions in the area and the allegations he made during the summer, police were worried about his own safety and unbeknown to him, in order to prevent and detect crime they placed covert secret CCTV cameras in the flat where he lived.
.
"The prosecution case is that at the time of this abduction was said to have taken place Mr Ramjanally can be shown to be somewhere else.”
.
He added: “Nothing particular was happening. There is footage of him leaving his flat on his own, going down the stairs on his own and he takes a taxi to Homebase."
.
Mr Gowan said that after trawling the CCTV footage, police discovered Ramjanally had walked to the spot on the edge of the forest, where he claimed he was taken by the BNP, where he was seen dialling 999.
.
The jury were also shown footage from two hidden cameras at his home before he made the call that showed Ramjanally leaving his home, getting into a taxi and being driven to Homebase.
After his arrest Ramjanally told police in a statement that he had got a taxi to Homebase and had walked home before being abducted. But Mr Gowan said that timing did not fit in with the evidence.

“This shocking atrocity, taking place so soon after the Keswick school bus tragedy and the November floods, adds another terrible weight on the people of West Cumbria,” Mr Griffin said.

“I have many close friends and colleagues there and because it is a part of my European constituency, I have a close personal attachment to the area and the people.

“Yesterday's horrific events have stunned the nation. We are, however, witness to the incredible resilience of the local people, emergency and voluntary services, who have all responded in a calm, courageous and selfless way. I would particularly like to pay tribute to the character of the people of Cumbria, the actions of those normal people who, without warning or any specialist training, suddenly found themselves in the middle of a real life emergency. They did all they could to help the victims and with the killer still rampaging through the area and that is something very special indeed."

North West Regional Council meeting.

The North West Regional Council met today in Leigh to plan our Summer campaigns.

A very upbeat meeting saw first appearances from many new officials and newly formed groups from South Manchester, Bolton and Stockport as well as the core groups and officials from around the region.
.
James Clayton, Blackpool Organiser was appointed deputy North West Regional Organiser, Paul Stafford, Allerdale Organiser was appointed to oversee the further development of Cumbria, Derek Adams - Regional Press Officer and Kevin Clark as enquiries and membership secretary.
.
Sue Mather, Regional Treasurer announced the final stage in the scheduled hand over of the North West accounts and banking had been achieved and the North West will now become the third semi- autonomous self regulating region in the party.
.
The day was filled with positive implementations and new initiatives and to summarise the North West will be hitting the streets within a fortnight with the first of our high visual coordinated campaigns.
.
Clive Jefferson, North West RO said "It is a sign of great depth and political maturity that everyone wants to drive forward not rest or stand still. We intend to be first out of the starting blocks and already our groups are looking to next years elections and the campaign has already started."

Members of Copeland British National Party paid their last respects to our friend Gordon Savage MBE, on Friday at Gordon's Funeral service held at St Peters church Kells, Whitehaven. Gordon passed away after a prolonged illness and his passing has deeply saddened all his many friends in the local group and in the party as a whole. Our thoughts are with Gordon's family.

Nick Griffin MEP said "I had the honour of meeting Gordon on several occasions the last time being when I called at his house to see him last year on election day. He was an inspiration to us all, a true Nationalist in the purest sense of the word and fought for his country in many ways right through his life. He will be deeply missed and always remembered with the respect such men deserve."

Clive Jefferson, Copeland Organiser said "Gordon is a local legend, he was part of operation market garden and a member of the first regiment of Paratroopers, an achievement recognised by the Queen when he received his MBE for services to the regiment. I don't think I can remember Gordon without a smile on his face and a positive word for our continuing fight. Rest in peace Gordon."

Election fraud....the first of many................

Election fraud committed by the Labour Party has forced its newly-elected for the Goresbrook Ward in Barking to resign and force a by-election.

The ward previously held by British National Party GLA member Richard Barnbrook, was contested by the Labour candidate while he was still a council employee. Such open party allegiance is forbidden under council rules. The Labour candidate's employment record was uncovered as part of an ongoing investigation into election fraud in Barking being conducted by Mr Barnbrook. “We informed the Labour Party that we would be going to court on this matter,” Mr Barnbrook said. “Faced with the legal threat, the Labour councillor threw in the towel and resigned.”

The by-election will be held shortly and will be contested by the BNP. “We have to be realistic about this election,” Mr Barnbrook said. “We know what happened here on 6th May and the reasons why it happened. Nonetheless, we will fight it to the best of our abilities on issues which really matter to the local people.”

* There are currently more than 50 cases of electoral fraud under investigation in Barking, mostly consisting of multiple voter registrations at identical residences.

It looks like there is a near total media blackout following the historic victory yesterday.

Not a great surprise really but ever the optimist I did think that this one was a story that would have been big news, it most certainly would have been if he had of lost!

On a different note I have just had a very interesting conversation with a very up beat Richard Barnbrook. I don't want to spoil the surprise but what I will say is that the story is far from over in that part of the world - watch this space for a most interesting development.

I am absolutely delighted for my friend an colleague Adam Walker today as he takes on the establishment and wins a great victory. I was in Birmingham yesterday with Adam and I can tell you it has been a long, hard fight for him, a fight in which he never wavered for one second. A great day!

The politically motivated persecution of Adam Walker has finally ended in a victory for freedom of speech.

Today the General Teaching Council dropped all charges against BNP activist and teacher Adam Walker, in a case that has dragged on for 3 years.

Today, BNP Leader Nick Griffin, Deputy Leader Simon Darby, MEP Andrew Brons and GLA member Richard Barnbrook demonstrated at the HQ of the GTC along with dozens of BNP activists. All welcomed the verdict as a major victory for freedom of expression.

BNP leader Nick Griffin was among those present and claimed Mr Walker had been "outrageously persecuted" for his political beliefs.

He said: "The charges about supposed racism, racial intolerance, and so on, have been thrown out.

"The committee have upheld the right of Adam Walker and every other teacher in the country to criticise Government policy in no uncertain terms."

Asked about calls from leftwing quarters for BNP members to be banned from teaching, Mr Griffin replied: "Teachers obviously have to keep politics out of the classroom.

"As long as they do that they should be entitled to hold whatever political views they want."

The Broughton Bridge, like most of the Cumbrian bridges across the Derwent, took some serious hammer during those record floods and this ancient bridge held better than most yet still damaged it only re-opened last month and there is a one way system in place to half the traffic volume.
.
So what has Broughton Bridge got to do with my post today? Not a lot except I crossed it tonight to attend an evening training course to bring newly elected councillors up to speed on planning regulations. Codes of conduct and one or two other interesting aspects of local government.
.
As I said in a previous post, I intend to get as much training and experience as possible during my time as a Parish Councillor and even at this grass roots level of local Government the access to information, training and in depth courses is very impressive.
.
As I was at my council meeting members of the Copeland A Team where out and about Whitehaven making personal visits to this weeks list of new enquiries, generated during the general election campaign. Well done Gentlemen, your dedication is truly a credit to you and to the Copeland Group who are very fortunate to have such a team of activists.
.
The next mission for the Copeland A Team is to have a look on your local Parish Council notice boards and make sure you become regular visitors to all the Parish Council meetings, the public are most welcome at these meetings and mark my words - two or three months from now you will all, or most of you, will be sitting on your own local council. Please do let me know how you get on.

Its an odd thing writing a regular blog, some weeks its just the natural way to end the day, other periods it is high enough on the priority list to stop and make time to update your blog and then during the last election cycle it was just impossible to find the time.

But of late I must admit I have just gotten out of the habit of updating this blog. I will endeavour to get back into the habit.

I like the comparison of political extremes in to days featured post on my blog, the Times & Star article of the first meeting of Broughton Community Council, of which I am a Councillor - and the big news of the day we have, for the moment anyhow, a new "leader" and the beginning of the first attempt at a coalition Government since 1974.
.
The extremes, the most powerful position in British politics and the formation of the new cabinet that will, in effect rule the country and the formation of a small Parish Council that will endeavour to help the population of Broughton through the management of a small Cumbrian town.
.
I wonder which governing body will have the best interests of the population they serve as their driving force? Sadly we all know the answer to that question. Still myself and my fellow Parish Councillors have entered the grass roots level of British Politics and voluntarily (The Parish and Town levels of local Government are just that, voluntary posts, IE we receive no salary) intend to serve the community to our best ability.
.
Speaking from a personal standpoint I intend to take my roll as Parish Councillor very seriously and have already put myself forward for all the training on offer, which is very extensive. I strongly advise anyone interested in politics, and certainly anyone seeking election to political office, to involve yourself in the grass roots tier of the political system. Sadly because these positions are none salaried they are very often vacant and most parish councils in England will have a number of vacancies just waiting for someone to declare an interest in joining the council.
But rather than that being a negative, it is in fact a great opportunity for us to learn out trade and to contribute to our communities while we do.

Dear Fellow Patriot,

I appreciate that everybody is feeling very tired after this bruising campaign and some disappointing headline results. In fact, as you will see later in this message, behind the media's sneers, there is real concern about the progress that we have made in this extraordinarily hard-fought contest.
.
With the result now in, Britain faces its first "hung parliament" since 1974 and the next Government - if there is to be one and not a new election in a few months' time - will be a coalition of two of the main parties.Ironically, this provides the British National Party (which spectacularly almost tripled its vote from 2005, jumping from 192,746 to a healthy 563,743 in yesterday's contest) with its best window of opportunity yet.
.
The kingmaker in any coalition will be the Liberal Democrats under Nick Clegg. Their key demand for participation in a coalition is electoral reform, and in particular the abolition of the current "first-past-the-post" election system. The reason why the Liberal Democrats oppose the first-past-the-post system is that it clearly puts a smaller party (which is what the Liberal Democrats are) at a hugely unfair disadvantage.
.
The figures tell the story: yesterday the Liberal Democrats won around 23 percent of the vote, but will end up with only 7 percent of the seats in Parliament. The BNP, which polled close to a million votes in June 2009, and over half a million yesterday (despite only fighting half of all the available 650 seats), will end up with no seats at all.
.
In effect, the first-past-the-post system simply throws millions of votes onto the rubbish heap where they are ignored. As a result, the Liberal Democrats have argued for the introduction of proportional representation (PR) in Britain.Under a PR system, if a party gets 10 percent of the votes, it gets 10 percent of the seats in Parliament. If it gets 32 percent of the vote, it gets 32 percent of the seats, and so on.
.
It is an obviously fairer way of allowing all votes cast in an election be reflected in Parliament. In fact, a slightly amended system of PR is used in European Parliamentary elections, which allowed the BNP to win its two seats in that body in June 2009.
.
If the Liberal Democrats are involved in a coalition with either Labour or Conservatives, it is inevitable that they will set the demand for a PR system as one of the preconditions for their cooperation.
.
In fact, Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg has already made this demand in public - and both Labour and Conservatives have announced their willingness to consider it or, at the very least, hold a referendum on the topic.
.
What does this mean for the BNP? The tripling of the BNP vote on 6 May has some important implications.Firstly, where we went head-to-head with UKIP and the Greens, we thrashed them. We outvoted UKIP in 178 seats and they beat us in 123. We outvoted the Greens in 134 seats for the Greens 23. UKIP had a huge budget and their campaign was backed by 13 MEPs, in it must not be forgotten that both UKIP and the Greens enjoy favourable treatment at the hands of the controlled media.
.
Secondly, while all minority parties were pushed out to the edge by the 'big boys', our vote not only held up but proportionately increased when compared to our June 2009 Euro election results.
.
When put into perspective, yesterday's result becomes even more interesting:-
.
In 1983, the BNP fought 54 seats and polled 14,000 votes.-
.
In 1987, the BNP fought 2 seats and polled 563 votes.-
.
In 1992, the BNP fought 13 seats and polled 7,000 votes.-
.
In 1997, the BNP fought 54 seats and polled 35,000 votes.-
.
In 2001, the BNP fought 33 seats and polled 47,000 votes.-
.
In 2005, the BNP fought 117 seats and polled 192,746 votes.-
.
In 2010, the BNP fought 339 seats and polled 563,743 votes.
.
Based on yesterday's impressive vote totals, the BNP would win in excess of 60 seats in Westminster under a PR system.
.
Some of the more perceptive Conservative journalists, such as Norman Tebbit, have already realised this as a possibility and have written about it in national newspapers.
.
In addition, many political commentators have already remarked that, on a night which saw all the smaller parties squeezed - including the Lib-Dems, who lost five seats - the strong showing and turnout of the BNP vote was "a source of great concern.
.
"They have seen how the public hostility towards us is fast disappearing.
.
I felt it on the streets and I'm sure you did too.
.
Compare this with a few years ago when we endured frequent confrontations and 'screamers'. This election we enjoyed a very friendly response on the streets and no aggravation (apart from the exception of activists from Labour's far left thuggish allies).
.
I have heard reports from all over the country, and have experienced it for myself, that the 'screamers' who used to pop out of the woodwork in almost every street, have all but completely vanished.
.
The shift in the public's perception of us now is really very encouraging. Unfortunately in this much hyped General Election, people voted for a change in government and have (some with gritted teeth) reverted back to the old parties.
.
Our adversaries recognised this probably before us and have done everything to keep us as a small fringe party. Under PR we could easily fill a bus with BNP MPs.
.
As the coalition negotiations begin, let those who might feel disappointed at the BNP's failure to secure a parliamentary seat yesterday reflect on what might happen in a short while.
.
The introduction of PR to Britain will dramatically change the face of British politics and propel the BNP into the mainstream political debate once and for all.
.
Unfortunately, the high turnout generated by the General Election hype meant that we were also squeezed severely in local elections nationwide.
.
Our vote remained rock solid but the percentages were against us.
.
Perhaps the most sobering reality we must now face is the demographic disaster unfolding all over the country, but especially in Barking & Dagenham and London generally. The simple fact is this: we have been swamped by immigrants.
.
Labour is carrying out a policy of gerrymandering through immigration. This has meant the death of the old East End and by the time of the next General Election, London will be completely unassailable, colonised and in truth no longer part of Britain.
.
We need to develop a new strategy to protect our dispossessed and marginalised people in these 'occupied territories.' As our people are pushed first into political impotence and then into absolute minority status, to continue fighting first-past-the-post elections and securing an ever-dwindling vote is simply a recipe for demoralisation and failure.
.
We will instead develop a new strategy for these areas, based on civil rights agitation and legal challenges to the authorities whenever they marginalise our white minority.
.
I know how hard everybody worked and I know there is a positive change in the public's attitude towards the BNP. You must have felt it too. This tended to lead to raised expectations which, while they have not been this time in the ballot box, do truly reflect the undercurrent of ever growing sympathy for our party and our message. We all know the feeling is there and growing.
.
At the end of the day, we tripled our vote and we can now build on the huge experience we have gained through fighting two national elections in less than a year.
.
The glaring item lacking in the BNP armoury is our underdeveloped Elections Department. This will now be the focus of a huge overhaul and re-structuring, bringing it into line with the very best and almost futuristic election machines of Labour and the Lib-Dems.
.
The BNP has the courage and determination and some of the best politically motivated people of all the parties. However, our methods, tactics and electioneering apparatus are basically 20 years out of date.This was discussed at a leadership meeting in February and while we recognised the urgent need for modernisation, there was no way we could start to reform and modernise before the election.
.
Through a substantial investment in administration, fundraising and logistics, the BNP possesses a finely tuned administrative regime. As an example of what the administrative staff can do is illustrated by the fact that all of the 8,000 inquiries received centrally in the six weeks of the campaign, have already been sent information packs.Some 6,000 have already been databased and passed on to the regional organisers so that follow-up work can start immediately. This is a very rapid and efficient turnaround of an absolutely crucial job.
.
We do however need to acknowledge that there were very serious problems in the campaign, particularly in the Publicity Department. The new team which took over - Clive Jefferson, Alwyn Deacon and all others involved - did a fantastic job under the most difficult of circumstances in rescuing that situation by the skin of our teeth.
.
Now we need to focus all of our attention and energies in harnessing and utilising the very best in modern electioneering practices. This will start immediately and this month will see the first event in our new training programme being rolled out.
.
We need to grasp the huge potential in exploiting postal votes, tele-canvassing and other modern methods and techniques. We also need to equip ourselves to perform well in community politics.
.
Although the Greens were practically wiped out in this election, they still managed to secure their first MP. How did they do this? They invested heavily on the ground by being fully involved in local community politics. This afforded them 'credibility' through an effective presence in community politics. Minority parties can overcome obstacles by producing effective councillors. To do that we need to invest heavily in training for our people who are at the 'coalface 'We are now stronger than ever and have proven ourselves capable of planning, fighting and financing two national election campaigns on the largest scale ever, one after another.
.
We will now focus on a massive overhaul of our political machinery.
.
External attacks disguised as internal friction will be a common feature as our political enemies spin their web of lies and deceit designed to prevent us from reaching our true potential. Our enemies' weapons will be disharmony, conflict, misinformation and never-ending legal warfare.
.
They will not succeed, but we all must remain ever vigilant. If someone tells you a piece of 'shocking' internal gossip which clearly is aimed at undermining the people now working to propel the party forward, then you need to treat such lies with the contempt they deserve. Don't believe, let alone pass on, any such disinformation without telling the target about the allegation and hearing the truth. Our enemies have huge resources at their disposal and will exploit the slightest chink in our armour to inject their poison amongst us.
.
So let us build on the lessons of the last two years of spectacular growth and advances. We have all worked incredibly hard and I know the price our families pay. Take a break; spend time with your family - because we will have all this to do again in a very short time.
.
This election has been a shambolic farce for our democracy. However, this is an opportunity for us and now is the time to re-structure, modernise and invest in this party's election machine and that's exactly what we ARE going to do.

The Labour-supporting Mirror rag, which pretends to be a newspaper, has resorted to paying people to lie about the British National Party for the sake of a made-up story, according to BNP national organiser Clive Jefferson.

Responding to a particularly pathetic smear story published in today’s edition of that newspaper, Mr Jefferson dismissed as “outlandish” and “pure lies” the vast majority of the claims made therein.
.

“The Mirror’s source was a person who had once stormed out of a BNP meeting and then left the party a few months ago,” Mr Jefferson said.
.

“He then came back a few weeks ago and said that he wanted to help us once again. Now it transpires that he had been paid £6,000 by the Mirror to manufacture a set of lies about the BNP which include things which I know for a fact were never said,” Mr Jefferson added.
.

“To make matters worse, he sent us a text message this morning from his mobile phone admitting that he had done it for money and asking for forgiveness.
.

“At least he was honest enough to say that he had made it up for money. It is sad that people can be persuaded to make these sorts of outrageous lies for the sake of money. The BNP will not, however, allow itself to be deflected by attacks of this nature.
.

“Quite frankly, if this is the worst they can throw at us — a pack of lies generated out of paid liars — then we have nothing to worry about,” Mr Jefferson concluded.
.

There is never enough of it these days.
.
Another full day of leafleting and canvassing the villages in the huge Copeland Constituency has been very rewarding. With other members going back over our strongest areas.
.
I had to drop out of the leafleting teams early tonight to go up to Broughton to get officially signed up as a Parish Councillor and we had a lot of business to get through after the rather dramatic mass resignations of councillors and the recent resignation of the clerk. A most interesting night.
.
Tomorrow will consist of the last areas to cover in the rural villages and the final preparations for the sealing of the ballot boxes. All A Team members please contact me early morning to sort out the days workload.
.
I am getting reports from every unit of fantastic responses from the public and no reports of any hostility at all. Times are changing and we are defiantly now part of the political landscape in nearly every area.
.
We will, as always, work right up to and through election day and I will be very happy if we can poll a solid third place in Copeland, it will be a big ask but we look on track for it. Time, as ever, will soon tell.

The North West is out of the starting blocks early this election season with two BNP Officials elected onto local councils unopposed this week.

John Cave, Burnley BNP Organiser was elected unopposed onto Padium Town Council and Clive Jefferson, North West Regional Organiser and Newly appointed National Elections Officer, onto Broughton Community Council in Cumbria.

In his first election briefing to the party, earlier this month, Clive announced a series of new target areas for the party - the often overlooked local community councils being a high priority.

"These lower tier council seats are all voluntary positions and as such are largely ignored by the money grabbing mainstream parties, a sad reflection of British Politics" Clive told BNP news.

Tory wife quits to stand for BNP

A former Conservative party member has defected to the BNP to stand in the local elections – while her husband stands for the Tories in another ward.

Sheila Spink is running for the far-right party in Heatons North, Stockport.
Her husband of 20 years, Conservative candidate Alex Raisbeck, is standing just a few miles down the road in Manor ward.
.
But Ms Spink said the decision had not caused tension in her marriage.
She said: “It’s absolutely no big deal. I was with the Conservative party. I have left the Conservative party.
.
“I don’t think they will do what is necessary to be done in this country. I don’t think they are tackling the big problem.
.
“My husband has not left the Conservative party and that’s his business.”
Speaking from the couple’s Heaton Mersey home, Ms Spink said she left the Tories because she felt they are not up to the job, particularly on immigration.
.
She said: “There’s no mention of immigration at all.
.
“They are just not dealing with that problem.”
.
The BNP has a policy of ‘firm incentives’ to force non-white people to leave Britain.
Ms Spink admits her husband, who stood for the Tories in the 2008 local elections in Heatons South, and came second, feels differently.
.
She said: “Alex is standing for the Conservatives in one ward and that’s his business. We are husband and wife and we have been married for 20 odd years – forever.
.
“There’s absolutely no animosity. It’s two professional adults. We are both in our 60s.
.
“We have lived a lot of life and look at things from a different angle.”
.
Mr Raisbeck, who has campaigned in the past with current Conservative parliamentary candidate for Stockport Stephen Holland, was not at home to comment.

A local Tory insider said the party had become aware of the situation in the last few days.
.
He said: “We are going to get slaughtered about this. We never realised she’d joined the BNP. He’s got some explaining to do. It’s gone past the date where we can withdraw the candidate without the candidate’s permission. In my view it’s not tenable. It’s come as a total and utter shock.”

The Conservative party did not respond to the our request for a comment.

Bolton, newly revitalised, under new management and looking good!

Last night (14th April) saw the newly revitalised Bolton group hold its first Meeting.
.
Duncan Warner was the Chairman for the night and Arthur Kemp the main Speaker. Arthur's speech on colonisation was so well delivered he received a standing ovation from the 80+ members.
.
Everyone said it was the best meeting Bolton has had for years.
.
There was a very healthy collection £850 , meaning that the Bolton group are in the black and ready to fight the General and local elections. Bolton, newly revitalised, under new management and looking good!
.

Wigan might just continue to shock....

BNP in poll shock

The far-right British National Party is launching a major election drive in Wigan - the organisation is contesting THREE QUARTERS of the available council seats.
.

Party chiefs today declared a shock 19 candidates across 23 wards. And it is putting candidates up in ALL three parliamentary constituencies which cover the Wigan borough.

Ken Haslam will be standing in Makerfield, Gary Chadwick in Leigh, and Charles Mather, will contest the Wigan constituency. All three are also standing in the local elections.

Dr Charles Mather and his wife Sue, North West Regional Treasurer, are an incredibly important Lynch pin in our whole operation here in the North West. The superb slate of candidates that has stunned the media and politicians alike this week and is a "major election drive" by any ones standards. But I can tell you one absolute fact that the opposition really doesn't want to accept: no assistance has been given to Wigan BNP from the region as far as fielding this impressive slate of local and General Election candidates!

The branch has self financed three General Election candidates with full A4 colour leaflets for each constituency and have also made the decision to go the extra mile and field such an extensive list of local candidates, collecting and successfully submitting 19 local election packs that with the candidates and signatory's make 199 people just to sign the nomination forms.

A great achievement and they will be now guaranteed to build on the 7,000 people who voted BNP in last years European Elections in Wigan.

Its not just Wigan either, all round the region our units are in full flow, Oldham, Bolton and Rochdale are flourishing due mainly to the input of Joe Nealon, the newly appointed North Manchester coordinator.

Tameside, a superb group, are pushing forward to the next level.

Cheshire, always a difficult area for the North West is also in the ascendancy with Colin Marsh the coordinator there making things happen all around the county.

Salford, Pendle, Burnley, Liverpool, St Helens and Copeland all very Strong and young James Clayton in Blackpool has financed and organised a full raft of PPCs from North Blackpool right down to Lancaster and inland to South Ribble.

Well done Charles, Sue and all the many dedicated members throughout the North West: true British Patriots.

Yes we are in a fight, and as well as fighting to bring our troops home, we are fighting on a wide front during the coming elections.

The British National Party will contest 326 parliamentary seats at the general election, over 120 key party officials and organisers were told today as they united unanimously behind Nick Griffin at a special meeting called to discuss recent events in the party.

The special meeting was given details — including a tape recording — of serious potential offenses committed by the former publicity director of the party, Mark Collett.
.
Amongst the details revealed were serious issues with regard to the pricing of leaflets and a series of front companies which appear to have been set up with the intention of skimming off printing bills, and a short snippet of a recorded conversation with Mr Collett.

The meeting decided unanimously to appoint a four man strong subcommittee to listen to the entire tape recording and report to the crowd on its full contents and implications.

Councillor Michael Simpkins, a former RAF police officer, then reported back after a break that the tape was genuine and was of a conversation between Mr Collett and party treasurer David Hannam.

Mr Simpkins said it was clear from the tape that the police would be able to investigate a number of potential crimes including threats to murder, assault, fraud and falsification of accounts.
.
The meeting was informed that the police were in possession of a copy of the tape which had formed the basis of the arrest and subsequent questioning of Mr Collett last Thursday.
.
The meeting agreed unanimously to leave the matter in the hands of the police.
.
A message from former party manager Emma Colgate was read out by Mr Griffin in which she warned that fake Face book and YouTube accounts were being set up in her name with the obvious intention of sowing confusion.
.
All of these fake accounts should be reported as fraudulent so that they can be closed down, Ms Colgate said.
.
It was also announced that former national elections officer Eddy Butler was still very much with the BNP and is set to play a leading role in the party’s attempt to take control of the Barking and Dagenham council.
.
Newly-appointed national elections officer Clive Jefferson paid tribute to Mr Butler’s work and then outlined some new strategies he would be introducing for boosting the BNP’s vote in coming electoral contests.
.
Mr Jefferson also assured the delegates that there was no interruption to the leaflet production process and that a new graphic designer had already been sourced and had started work.
.
Mr Griffin then announced that the party would be contesting a grand total of 326 seats in the coming election.
.
“This is the greatest effort in the history of British nationalism,” Mr Griffin said. “This is a tribute to how far this party has come and of the tremendous dedication of all its activists. Now, let’s put this latest business behind us and concentrate on getting the nation-wreckers out of office,” he said to loud applause.

British National Party candidates standing in seats in the Labour Party’s former strongholds have received a boost this morning after a report in The Guardian newspaper.

“The Labour Party’s traditional voters are turning in significant numbers to the BNP.”

That’s the verdict of Sir Andrew Green chairman of the immigration monitoring organisation, MigrationWatch UK.
.
He says that the Government’s arrogant disregard for the concerns of Britain’s working class, who have suffered the most from the effects of immigration, has encouraged people who have voted Labour all their lives to now switch their allegiance to the British National Party.
.
The former British diplomat also said that it wasn’t just Labour supporters who were angry about immigration but some 70-80% of the population who were frustrated and dismayed that not one of the three main parties had a serious policy to deal with this all-important issue.

“The public’s complaint is not that politicians are failing to talk about immigration – the real complaint is that politicians are failing to take effective action.
.
“In 1971, net immigration was -40,000: in 2008, it was over +163,000. If it continues at this rate the population of Britain will hit 70 million in 20 years’ time, and then 80 million in the 2060s.
.
“Indeed, net immigration under Labour has led to another 3 million immigrants coming to the UK.” Sir Andrew wrote in The Guardian this morning.

He also echoed the words of Nick Griffin when he said that the debate was being stifled by opponents of immigration controls who shouted “racist” whenever the topic came up for discussion.

“It’s not racist to talk about immigration,” he said.But Sir Andrew Green didn’t have the courage to identify the reason why none of the three main parties have a ‘Stop Immigration’ policy . . . it’s because Labour, the Tories and the Lib-Dems are all dependent on the immigrant vote to win them seats at the General Election.

Oldham meeting and Fast Track Immigration Specialists...,.

Wednesday night was an important night for the British National Party Group in Oldham for several reasons. An incredible £1,300 was donated by the Oldham members and with at least one more meeting before the May 6th elections they will be standing two Parliamentary candidates, with literature, local candidates and have money to spare.
.
The group is motivated and,with the assistance of the newly appointed North Manchester Coordinator, Joe Nealon, have a full program of activity and campaigning already planned out and I am confident that Oldham BNP are going to take a big step forward and up their game in the coming weeks and months.
.
And finally we all had a very clear and truthful summery of the magnitude of the political struggle we are engaged in by the Orator, Arthur Kemp. The facts are clear, we are the thin red line, there is no one else and how we perform over the next 5 years will decide the future of our Nation. No melodrama, fact.
.
We will move forward, we will make gains in this General Election cycle and we will emerge with time to truly organise and build. To set plans and to implement them. The last two or three years have been incredibly successful, the goals we set , the big milestones and battles won, the GLA, and then the European victories, without any respite we were heading for the General Election.
.
The membership freeze and subsequent court case, at the same time all out best people, including the Chairman himself, were having to blaze a path, avoiding all the pit falls that came with victory in the Euros, the incredible demands and work load that comes with high political office. All the above had to be done as well as the small matter of moving the party forward into this General Election without a penny generated by new membership, indeed with tens of thousands of pounds of court costs and legal fees draining us.

Yes it has been a testing time. Some were not up to the challenges, most were.
.
Now as nominations open for the May 6th elections and all our PPCs have been selected and the money raised by each individual group - an incredible feat in itself - I suddenly feel the workload increase yet the pressure reduce. We are in familiar territory again, full scale elections and everything that brings. but we HAVE SURVIVED, RESISTED THE ATTACKS, ADAPTED AND ARE NOW MOVING INTO THIS ELECTION PREPARED, MOTIVATED AND TOGETHER. We are a true political force now and it is clear to even our bitterest enemies that we will not be stopped.

Will we win seats in Westminster? I honestly do not know, its possible but not probable, that's my honest assessment. The European elections were actually our Battle of Britain, stretched to the limits, and fighting for our very survival, but I was confident we could do the job. We did of course and the rest, as they say, is history: political history.
.
We are punching way above our weight, we always do, and like any fighter we have that punchers chance of a knock out blow that truly would rock the foundations of the political establishment of the world, not just Britain or indeed Europe.
.
But the General Election is in fact only a small aspect of the whole, we have not taken our eye off the ball, we have not been seduced into the illogical quest for Westminster at the price of all else. No, we will progress in this years election cycle, we will gain more councillors, we might very well take full control of a Metropolitan Borough of our Capital City no less. But we will progress, that is the real story of this period in my opinion.

We held, and moved forward again, strengthened our position and our organisation, learned a lot, grew in confidence and are positioned well for the coming politically turbulent times ahead.

Oh yes,the picture at the very top of this post? One of a row of high street shops in Illford that I had the great misfortune of cumming across the other week when in London to help the Chairman and Richard Barnbrook. Very disturbing when you are the only white person on the street at the time and there are four or five such shops in the immediate vicinity. As in BIG BUSINESS. How many people are being smuggled in, given student visas, asylum etc... and all said people have to do is pop into the local IMMIGRATION LAW EXPRESS SUPERMARKET and those helpful folk will fall over themselves to bring, as many more of your people over hear as you can afford! I wonder how much the going rate is for a British passport and a ticket to the promised land?

250,000 will be delivered by Royal Mail next month and the remaining 250,000, (having just today ordered half a million!) will be available for the volunteers to start putting out.

The last print run of 385,000 wasn't enough and I had to cut every ones orders down significantly and you know what? Half a million looks set not to be enough as well!

Another long hard day for the Copeland BNP Group with every house in and around the BNP stronghold of Frizington covered with a national leaflet and the General Election warm up leaflet for PPC Clive Jefferson. Some 4,000 pieces of literature delivered.

In the county elections Frizington polled incredibly well for the British National Party and Clive Jefferson polled the highest ever result for the party in Cumbria here least June.
.
Maybe its no coincidence that the pub in the centre of town, and our favourite watering hole, is .....The Griffin.

North West Regional Organiser Clive Jefferson announced today that Oldham BNP have raised enough funds, before the upcoming General Election fundraiser evening, to contest two Parliamentary seats in Olham.

Oldham West and Royton will be contested by Dave Joines, former NWRO and a very experienced campaigner and Alwyn Stott, a local BNP candidate for the last five years, will contest the Oldham East and Saddleworth seat.
.
We will also be contesting multiple local seats and after the solid European vote where Oldham played a key part in electing Nick Griffin MEP, we are confident of great things from this historically significant area.

Absolute damming comments from the police today about the EDL demo in Bolton today and the actions of the UAF:

"Today in Bolton we have seen some small evidence of this protest in the form of flag waving and vitriolic name calling - but we have also seen groups of people, predominantly associated with the UAF, engaging in violent confrontation.
.
"It is clear to me that a large number have attended today with the sole intention of committing disorder and their actions have been wholly unacceptable. Turning their anger onto police officers they acted with, at times, extreme violence and their actions led to injuries to police officers, protester's and members of the public.
.
"The police are not and should not be the target of such violence and anger and this protest and the actions of some of the protester's is roundly condemned by GMP and by Bolton Council. Were it not for the professionalism and bravery of police officers many others would have been seriously injured. I would also like to praise the efforts of the EDL stewards who worked with us in the face of some very ugly confrontations."

GMP will now be reviewing CCTV from the day to identify other people involved in inciting or committing disorder.
.
ACC Shewan added: "I am determined to identify offenders by whatever means and bring them to justice."

Chief Supt Steve Hartley, Bolton's divisional commander, said: "This has been without doubt one of the most challenging days, not only as divisional commander of Bolton but as a police officer.
"We have spent weeks working closely with all communities in Bolton in an attempt to inform them. "I would like to thank the people of Bolton, as well as the local businesses, for their support and patience.

"I also want to thank the mediators who gave up their time today to help the police work even more closely with the local communities.

"We will continue with our policing operation over the coming days and I would urge anyone who may have concerns to get in touch with us."
